Measure the slope of an uphill slope or roof. The classic use is as an aid to find the height of a flagpole.
Measure the height of the flagpole by standing some distance from it and use the sight on the clinometer to aim it at the top. Release the "trigger", so the pendulum locks, and read off the inclination, angle. Then, measure the distance to the flagpole and use similarity or trigonometry to calculate the height.
Measuring range: -70° to 70°.
Materials: Plastic.
Dimensions: 28x15x1.5 cm.
