Product description

A “quick-start” cloud chamber that is very easy to use.
The α preparation leaves clear traces in the cloud.

Place the α preparation on the base plate, then place the chamber over the preparation. There are three small cloths at the top of the chamber that you wet with isopropanol. Turn on the power to cool the base plate, then wait 5-10 minutes.
When alpha particles from the preparation pass the saturated mist just above the base plate, the alcohol condenses to leave traces. The built-in LED light makes the traces particularly clear.
If you wish to use the chamber for longer, you can top up with more isopropanol without interrupting the experiment.
