So alike and yet so different. What is the density of the cylinders?
The set contains twelve cylinders with similar diameter but with different lengths. Calculate the density by plotting the values of each bar on a mass-volume diagram. The points will be on a straight line – if all the bars are made of the same material... But the more points, the more obvious it becomes that the bars are made of two different materials. Ideal for a discussion about density, linear adjustment, proportionality, directional coefficient, sources of error, etc.
