This general purpose voltage sensor plugs into the Sensor port on the //control.Node. The sensor readings are transmitted via Bluetooth by the //control.Node.
The Voltage Sensor has two input ports for analog voltages, two input ports for digital voltages that return a 1 or 0, and two push-buttons that return a 1 when pushed. Each of the analog and digital ports has a 5 V DC output pin to power home-made sensors or Arduino-type sensors that can be purchased elsewhere. For a list of compatible sensors, see the list on the Documents tab.
Each of the inputs has two ways to connect to wires:
1. 3-pin male connector: Slide with the included female-to-male wires onto each pin or use a female 3-pin connector to 3 wires.
2. Push-button connector block: Push the button and insert a bare wire, then release the button.
There are also two green LEDs which can be activated using Blockly programming in PASCO Capstone or SPARKvue. All the voltage inputs and the push-buttons are also available to be used in Blockly.
