These eight tubes of different lengths provide a fun way to demonstrate standing waves in open and closed-end pipes. The tubes are color-coded for each note in the C-major scale. Insert one end of a tube into a cap to show how the resonant frequency changes when it becomes a closed-end pipe.

You can play the pipes as a xylophone by mounting them in the included tube holder and striking them with the two included mallets. The tube holder also provides convenient storage in between experiments.
