The flash frequency is adjusted easily using pushbuttons. Choose whether to display the frequency in Hz or rpm - flashes per second or per minute.
Operate the chuck on a drill at full speed, for example, or play a string on a guitar. Aim the stroboscope at the object and adjust the flash frequency so that the object appears to be standing still. This allows you to determine the rotational speeds or frequencies of the object.
Strong magnets on the back allow the stroboscope to be placed on a whiteboard, for instance.
