The balls are similar in appearance. Their diameters are the same; they have a similar mass; the black colour is more or less the same and they seem to be made of the same material. Despite that, one ball bounces up high while the other doesn’t bounce at all. They can be used as an introduction to subject fields relating to energy and collision experiments, for discussion about the applications of the different materials, or just for fun.
