Product description

Build a simple galvanometer - a sensitive current meter.
A clear model showing how you can measure current.

Place the galvanometer insert in a coil. If a current passes through the coil, a magnetic field is generated inside the coil. At the bottom of the movable pointer there is a magnet which is affected by the magnetic field - the magnet turns and the pointer gives a reading.
Tip: Connect two coils to one another. Place a galvanometer insert into one of the coils. Moving a magnet in and out of the other coil induces a small current in the circuit which is detected by the galvanometer.

Fits: Square aperture, 20x20 mm or 30x30 mm. E.g. art. no.: 48134, 48135 and 48145.
Dimensions: Height 115 mm.
