Build your own arched bridge from the shaped blocks. Then test the bridge to see if it will bear your weight.

This arched bridge is made up of 23 wooden blocks of various shapes. The arched bridge is constructed without adhesive, so it can be dismantled and rebuilt any number of times. A description of how to build it is supplied, but try to do it without first. When the bridge is complete, you will be able to stand on it! Think about and discuss what forces prevent the bridge from collapsing.
