Product description

A large model of the fascinating Newton's cradle.

Five steel spheres hang from the frame. Thanks to threaded nipples, you can easily adjust the height of the spheres. Lift a sphere, allow it to swing and knock against the next sphere. The elastic force, combined with the conservation of momentum and energy, means that only the sphere furthest away is pushed off.
What happens if you release two spheres?
Thanks to longer pendulums, the spheres in this model swing slightly more slowly than in the smaller model, Newton's cradle (Art. no.: 50105).

Dimensions: 24x15x23 cm.
