Product description
See and consider how electrical energy is turned into mechanical energy in the electric motor.
A simple electric motor consists of a rotatable coil. This is placed in a magnetic field created with the help of permanent magnets. When current - which is constantly changing direction - is fed to the coil, it generates a magnetic field of its own and starts to rotate.
What happens if you remove or turn the magnet at the top of the motor?
Can you calculate the motor's direction of rotation in advance?
How can you determine the rotation speed?
Power supply: Direct voltage, 6-8 V.
Material: Plastic base with metal legs.
Height: 14 cm.
Accessories: Power supply and laboratory cables are not included.
