Product description

A simple, educational way to calculate the density of the air.

Start off by weighing the volumetric flask with tap and cork. Then use a simple vacuum pump to extract the air. Close the tap, disconnect the pump and weigh it again. Dip the tap in water and open it so that water is sucked into the flask. Weigh the flask for a final time.
The mass and volume of the extracted air can now be calculated, along with the density of the air.
