The set consists of ball holder, bottom plate and one large and one small ball.
Clamp the ball to the ball holder, which is connected to a timer (e.g. 60324). When the clamp is opened, the ball falls and the closed circuit breaks, the timing starts.
When the ball lands on the bottom plate, it gives a signal of 5 V to the timer, which stops the timing.
The parts are easily connected to art no: 60324 Timer millisecond.
The bottom plate can also be used with other timers. It may then need to be connected to 9 V in order to give the 5 V signal.
