At the top of the stand, which is 120 cm high, is an electromagnet connected to a 2 V DC supply. Attach a steel ball to the electromagnet. When the power is cut, the ball will fall and stop in the jar of modelling clay placed at the bottom.
Integrated in the stand is a ruler marked in millimetres.
Two stand rods are also supplied which are mounted horizontally on the stand and are height-adjustable. These can be used for mounting photocells, for example.
Power supply: 2 V DC.
