Be amazed at how the fluid shapes itself in the magnetic field from a powerful magnet.

The Ferrofluid consists of a large amount of superparamagnetic nanoparticles in mineral oil. When placed in a magnetic field, these particles align themselves and the ferrofluid forms fascinating 3D patterns indicating the direction of the magnetic field. When the magnetic field is removed, the particles lose their magnetism. Ferrofluid is used, for example, to reduce friction in hard disks.

Pack size: 2 ml of ferrofluid and 50 ml of water in a sealed glass bottle.
